Senior React Native Developer

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior React Native Developer to join a growing health-tech team and lead the development of a modern mobile platform. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build high-performance, reliable, and user-friendly mobile applications that improve the health benefits experience.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role where you'll have a strong impact on the product and technical direction. You'll be responsible for delivering new features, optimizing application performance, maintaining high code quality, and helping shape the future of a technology-driven healthcare platform.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native.
• Lead the development and delivery of new mobile features from concept to production.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement solutions.
• Ensure applications are fast, reliable, responsive, and easy to maintain.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party services, libraries, and other external systems.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Contribute to testing, automation, and continuous improvements to the development process.
• Mentor and support junior developers, sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
• Stay up to date with the latest React Native, mobile development, and healthcare technology trends.
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions as the platform evolves.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with React Native and its core principles.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience building and maintaining production mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries or services.
• Familiarity with AWS and/or Firebase.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and mobile application release processes.
• Hands-on experience with App Store and Google Play deployment.
• Strong understanding of mobile application performance, debugging, and optimization.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical challenges.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Passion for healthcare technology and building products that have a meaningful impact on people's lives.
• Nice to have: experience working on healthcare, health-tech, or employee benefits platforms.
• Nice to have: knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security best practices.
