Senior Fullstack Developer (Python & Angular)

About the Role

We're looking for two experienced Senior Fullstack Developers to join an established engineering team building AI-driven applications for the banking industry. You'll start by supporting ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the existing platform, then gradually take ownership of implementing complete features and enhancements on your own.

This is a paired hire. The two developers must already know each other and, ideally, have worked together on projects before, so apply as a pair rather than individually.

The work spans the full stack: Python backend services, Angular frontends, REST and other API interfaces, and LLM-based chatbot solutions, all running on cloud-native infrastructure with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker. You'll work inside an agile Scrum team and contribute to architecture, infrastructure, and security initiatives along the way.

What You'll Do

• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of existing applications.
• Independently implement new features and enhancements.
• Develop and optimize backend services using Python.
• Build and maintain frontend applications using Angular.
• Design, implement, and integrate REST APIs and other interfaces.
• Contribute to the development of LLM-based chatbot solutions.
• Collaborate closely within an agile Scrum team.
• Support architecture, infrastructure, and security-related initiatives.
• Ensure applications are developed to be secure and scalable.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Applying as a pair: you and the other developer must already know each other, and ideally have worked together on projects before.
• Good German language skills and fluency in English.
• Strong Python development skills.
• Experience with Angular 21 or newer versions.
• Knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, and A2A.
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with GitLab and Helm.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL databases.
• Understanding of AI and internet security concepts, including rate limiting, spam protection, guardrails, content filtering, and content moderation.
• Experience with LLM-based chatbot solutions, covering solution architecture, prompt engineering, and integrations with OpenAI and similar platforms.
• Experience with REST and other API technologies.
• Understanding of network infrastructure and security.
• Experience working with agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
