Senior React Native Engineer

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior React Native Engineer to build high-quality mobile applications used by thousands of users worldwide. You'll own cross-platform experiences end to end — from native module integration to performance tuning — working in close collaboration with product, design, backend, and AI engineers.

This is a hands-on, senior-level role. You'll typically embed with a client team for 6–24 months, taking ownership of mobile architecture decisions on greenfield builds or apps that are already scaling in production.

You should be comfortable dropping into native iOS and Android code when React Native isn't enough, writing TypeScript that's built to last, and communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders about tradeoffs and timelines.

What You'll Do

• Design and build cross-platform mobile features in React Native, shipping to both iOS and Android from a single codebase.
• Bridge to native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) modules when platform-specific functionality is required.
• Own performance: profiling, reducing bundle size, and eliminating jank on lower-end devices.
• Collaborate with backend and AI engineers to integrate APIs, real-time data, and on-device ML features.
• Work with product and design to translate specs into pixel-accurate, accessible UI.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for App Store and Play Store releases.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, with 3+ years specifically in React Native.
• Strong TypeScript fundamentals and experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, or similar).
• Comfortable navigating native iOS and Android codebases when needed.
• Experience shipping and maintaining apps in production on the App Store and Google Play.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for direct client collaboration.
• Based in Serbia, available for remote-first work with occasional Belgrade office time.
